StudyPerth International Welcome Day Passport Competition

How to Enter
The first 300 attendees at the StudyPerth International Welcome Day in March 2025 will receive a Passport to collect stamps. To enter the competition, participants must:
1. Visit each booth at the event and collect a stamp.
2. Submit their fully stamped Passport into the designated entry box within the event period.
All eligible entries will go into the draw to win one of six gift card prizes.
Prizes
· Grand Prize: AUD $200 gift card
· Second Prize: AUD $150 gift card
· Third Prize: AUD $100 gift card
· Three Bonus Prizes: AUD $50 gift card each
Additional Terms
· The competition is open only to attendees of the StudyPerth International Welcome Day.
· Only one entry per person is permitted.
· Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
· Winners will be drawn at random and notified via the contact details provided.
· Gift cards are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
· StudyPerth reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition if necessary.
By participating, entrants agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Promoter
a. The promoter is Perth Education City Inc. (ABN 76 842 611 690) (“StudyPerth”), 555 Wellington Street, Perth WA 6000. Telephone number: +61 (8) 6244 1640.
2. Eligibility and How to Enter
i. To enter the StudyPerth International Welcome Day Passport Competition (the Promotion), you must:
ii. Be one of the first 300 attendees at the StudyPerth International Welcome Day, held on Friday, 14 March 2025, from 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM (AWST) at Perth Town Hall.
iii. Collect a stamp from each booth using the Passport provided and submit the fully stamped Passport into the entry box.
iv. Provide your full name, email address, and phone number on the Passport.
v. Submit only one entry per person and accept these Terms & Conditions.
vi. Ineligibility: Employees, immediate family members of StudyPerth, and StudyPerth Members are not eligible to enter.
3. Entry Period
a. The Promotion runs from 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM (AWST) on Friday, 14 March 2025. Entries submitted after this time will not be considered.
4. Entry Fee
a. There is no entry fee to participate
5. Prize
a. Six (6) physical gift cards will be awarded:
b. Grand Prize: $200 gift card
c. Second Prize: $150 gift card
d. Third Prize: $100 gift card
e. Three Bonus Prizes: $50 gift card each
f. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
g. Winners will be drawn in ascending order of value, based on the order their names are randomly selected. StudyPerth’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. Winner Selection
a. This is a game of chance. Six (6) winners will be randomly drawn at 4:30 PM (AWST) on Friday, 14 March 2025 from eligible entries.
b. Winners will be announced at the event and must be present to claim their prize.
c. If a winner is not present at the time of the announcement, their prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be drawn.
d. StudyPerth reserves the right to accept, reject, or disqualify any entry at its sole discretion.
7. To redeem the prize
a. To redeem the prize, the Winner must collect the gift card Prize at the time of announcement at the event
8. Privacy
a. StudyPerth collects personal information about you to conduct the promotion and, where appropriate, to award a prize and communicate with each prize winner. StudyPerth will collect, use, and disclose your personal Information in accordance with its privacy policy. If you do not provide the personal Information requested, StudyPerth will be unable to accept your entry (and StudyPerth will refuse or reject the Entry) and you will be unable to participate in the promotion. You can gain access to, update or correct your personal Information held by StudyPerth by contacting StudyPerth at marketing@studyperth.com.au.
b. All Personal Information will be stored electronically in systems utilised by StudyPerth. A copy of StudyPerth’s Privacy Policy may be obtained at: https://www.studyperth.com.au/privacy-policy/ or by contacting StudyPerth on marketing@studyperth.com.au.
9. Disqualification
a. Entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions will be disqualified.
b. StudyPerth reserves the right, at any time, in its sole discretion, to verify the validity of Entries and your eligibility (including your identity, age, place of residence, student visa status, institution enrolment) and StudyPerth reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify you if StudyPerth has reason to believe you have breached any of these Terms, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. StudyPerth's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
10. Liability
a. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, StudyPerth and its related entities (including its respective directors, officers, employees and agents) are not responsible for and exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any Loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of:
i. Any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged, or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by StudyPerth) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of StudyPerth;
ii. any variation in Prize value to that stated in these Terms;
iii. any tax liability incurred by a beneficiary of a Prize (including you and any other Prize Recipient);
iv. use/taking of the Prize; or
v. the Promotion.
11. Changes and Termination
a. StudyPerth reserves the right to amend or terminate the competition at any time.
b. Participants will be notified of any such changes.
12. Governing Law
a. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Western Australia, and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Western Australia.
b. Nothing in these terms limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 (Cth) or similar consumer protection laws in the states and territories of Australia (collectively, the “Non-Excludable Guarantees”).
c. Failure by StudyPerth to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
d. Condition 16 for trade promotion lotteries requires that: “If practicable, members of the public must be given the opportunity to witness the prize draw. If that is not practicable, audit records confirming the prize draw must be made available to an authorised officer or member of the Police Force on request.”
Accordingly, unless it is impracticable (such as due to COVID-19 restrictions etc.) to do so, the selection must be open to attendance by members of the general public.
13. Definitions
a. In these Terms:
i. “Intellectual Property Rights” means all present and future rights of whatever nature anywhere in the world including, but not limited to, rights in respect of or in connection with copyright, inventions (including patents), trademarks, service marks, trade names, domain names, designs, confidential information, trade secrets and know-how and similar industrial, commercial and intellectual property rights, whether or not registered or registrable, and includes the right to apply for the registration of such rights, and whether existing in Australia or otherwise.
ii. “Laws” means all laws including rules of common law, principles of equity, statutes, regulations, proclamations, ordinances, by-laws, rules, regulatory principles and requirements, statutory rules of an industry body, statutory mandatory codes of conduct, writs, orders, injunctions, judgments, and generally accepted accounting principles in Australia.
iii. “Losses” means loss, damage, liability, charge, expense or cost (including all reasonable legal and other professional costs on a full indemnity basis) of any nature or kind.
iv. “Personal Information” means, for the purpose of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is true or not and whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not.
v. “Winner” means, for a major Prize, you or the other individual whom you invite to join with you in enjoying the benefit of the major Prize.
By participating in this Promotion, all participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
