Fireworks and where to see them

See out 2025 with a bang! The sky will light up on New Year's Eve, with firework shows happening all over Perth at various times throughout the evening. Whether you're after a relaxed evening or a bustling celebration, there are plenty of options for you. Check out these top spots to watch the amazing shows.

Elizabeth Quay

The Hancock Iron Ore New Year's Eve free event will feature amusement rides, food trucks, roving entertainment, a live DJ on a floating stage, LED hula-hoop and circus workshops, interactive game shows, and more. The first fireworks show will light up the Swan River at 8:30pm, perfect if you need to catch some early shut-eye. And of course, there will also be a show at midnight to officially ring in the new year.

For another great view, head across the Swan River to the South Perth Foreshore, grab a picnic rug, and settle in for the perfect end to 2025 with an unforgettable view.

Rottnest Island

Want to make a day of it? Why not head to Rottnest! Explore the island, soak in the views, and enjoy the festivities leading up to the 8pm fireworks. It's a great chance to escape the city, and you can stay the night or take the return ferry after the firework show. Rottnest will be buzzing with a range of activities from DJs to traditional dance performances. It's free to attend, but registration is required

Mandurah Foreshore

Every year the City of Mandurah hosts an exciting NYE celebration at the foreshore, from 6pm until midnight. The area comes alive with entertainment for all ages, featuring carnival rides, delicious food trucks, and two stunning firework displays - one at 9pm and another at midnight
