The Easter long weekend this year will begin on Friday 3rd April, which is Good Friday. Easter Sunday falls on the 5th April, and the following day is a public holiday (Easter Monday). Whether you want to celebrate Easter, relax, or just enjoy a few days off, there are plenty of free and cheap events and activities happening around Perth. We've put together some of the must-do events this Easter long weekend. 

Perth Easter Gathering

Date: Sunday 5th April
Time: 2.30pm
Location: Yagan Square Amphitheatre, Perth

The annual Perth Easter Gathering is happening this Easter Sunday! Join hundreds of people as they gather at the Yagan Square Amphitheatre for a time of public prayer, workshop, and communion in celebration of the resurrection of Christ. 

 


Easter Family Fun Day

Date: Saturday 4th April
Time: 11:00am - 5:00pm
Location: The Llawn at Mandoon Estate, 10 Harris Road, Caversham

Hop into Easter fun at Mandoon Estate's Free Family Easter Fun Fair! Meet and cuddle adorable animals at the animal farm, let the kids bounce and play on the bouncy castle, and enjoy colourful face painting. Families can also enjoy a magical stage show at 12:30pm from the Freedom Fairies, Ellie’s Eggcellent Easter. Bring the kids, relax on the lawn and enjoy a fun, free Easter day out with the family. 

 

 

Cockburn Easter Fair

Date: Saturday 4th April
Time: 3:00pm - 7:00pm
Location: Aubin Grove Reserve, Aubin Grove

On the hunt for a great way to spend Easter Saturday? The Cockburn Easter Fair is the answer! Hop down to Aubin Grove for Twilight Markets, free entertainment and activities, a wide range of food trucks to explore, and much more. .Enjoy live music and roving entertainment, Easter crafts and face painting, inflatable slides and obstacle courses, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny.

 


Fremantle International Street Arts Festival

Date: Friday 3rd April to Monday 6th April
Time: 12:00pm onwards
Location: Fremantle

And while you're in Freo checking out the Sculptures at Bathers Beach, take the opportunity to experience art that stops traffic at the Fremantle International Arts Festival, held throughout its historic streets. In 2026, the festival welcomes acts from the UK, Chile, Switzerland, China, France, Japan, Spain, the USA, and Australia. 

 

 

The Kids Big Carnival

Date: Friday 3rd April - Monday 6th April
Time: 4 session times available
Location: Wanneroo Showgrounds

Take the kids to the Kids Big Carnival at Wanneroo Showgrounds for a fun-filled family day out. Each ticket gives you unlimited rides for your selected 2-hour session, so kids can ride as many times as they like without extra costs. Tickets are $25 + booking fee, and there are 4 session times to choose from.

 


Brunch Markets

Date: Sunday 5th April
Time: 7am - 12pm 
Location: Bell Tower, Barrack Square, Perth

Perth's biggest outdoor brunch market is on every Sunday, and Easter Sunday is no different! The market pops up every Sunday in front of the Bell Tower in Elizabeth Quay. Enjoy an array of brunch foods, smoothies, baked goods, savoury delights, coffee, and gourmet treats. 

 


Telethon Community Cinemas

Date: now until Saturday 9th May
Time: Doors open at 6pm, movie starts at 7.15pm
Location: Bassendean, Burswood, Joondalup, Murdoch

Telethon Community Cinemas' is on until Saturday 9th May, so you can catch a movie under the stars during the Easter long weekend! Student tickets are only $10, but don't forget to bring your student ID. You can pre-book your tickets online or buy them at the entrance. Telethon conveniently has outdoor cinemas at four locations across Perth - Bassendean, Burswood, Joondalup, and Murdoch - so you can pick the one closest to you.
