International students who complete and submit CISWA's International Student Survey will go in the running to win an AUD$50 gift card. Terms and conditions are as follows.

How to enter 

You can enter the StudyPerth x CISWA International Student Survey Competition, October 2024 (hereafter called the Promotion) by completing and submitting the CISWA International Student Survey at the following link, https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9YVVWLL, during the entry period (an "Entry"). There will be one prize of an AUD$50 Gift Card.

  1. Promoter  
    1. The promoter is Perth Education City Inc. (ABN 76 842 611 690) (“StudyPerth”), 555 Wellington Street, Perth WA 6000. Telephone number: +61 (8) 6244 1640.
  2. Eligibility and How to Enter 
    1. To be eligible for entry into the Promotion, you must satisfy the following eligibility criteria: 
      1. Be a current international student in Perth, Western Australia. 
      2. Currently reside in Australia. 
      3. Submit one (1) valid entry, which is achieved by completing the international student survey in full and submitting it.
      4. Contact information must be included in the survey submission, including First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and Phone Number. 
      5. Only one entry per person.  
      6. Accept and comply with all these conditions.  
    2. Employees and immediate family members of StudyPerth and Members of StudyPerth are not eligible to enter the Promotion. 
  3. Entry Period
    1. The promotion will run from 12pm Wednesday 9th October until 5pm Tuesday 15th October 2024. All times are GMT+8 Australian Western Standard Time. (“Entry Period”). 
    2. StudyPerth reserves the right to extend the entry period if the number of survey results obtained by the end date are deemed insufficient.
  4. Entry Fee
    1. There is no entry fee to participate in this Promotion.
  5. Prize
    1. There is one (1) prize: a gift card to the value of AUD$50.
    2. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash.
    3. StudyPerth’s decision regarding the Winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 
  6. Winner Selection
    1. This Promotion is a game of chance. One prize will be awarded from an entry selected at random after 5pm Tuesday 16th October (AWST time) from the entries collected from International Student Survey completions.
    2. The Winner will be notified via the email provided in their survey submission. If StudyPerth is unable to get in contact with the Winner before Wednesday 23rd October, the Winner will be deemed ineligible and will forfeit the Prize.
    3. You acknowledge and agree that the decision by StudyPerth to accept, reject or disqualify an Entry is at StudyPerth’s sole discretion and no correspondence will be entered into. 
  7. To redeem the Prize
    1. To redeem the prize, the Winner must respond to StudyPerth's notification email within 1 week from the Entry Period closing date. 
    2. The Winner must collect the Prize from the StudyPerth International Student Hub (555 Wellington Street, Perth) during opening hours. A date and time can be arranged with StudyPerth staff via email or phone. 
    3. Valid Student ID must be shown in order to collect the Prize, to prove the WInner is an international student from an institution in Western Australia. 
    4. If StudyPerth is unable to get in contact with the Winner before 23rd October 2024, the Winner will be deemed ineligible and will forfeit the Prize. 
  8. Privacy
    1. StudyPerth collects personal information about you to conduct the promotion and, where appropriate, to award a prize. StudyPerth will collect, use, and disclose your personal Information in accordance with its privacy policy. If you do not provide the personal Information requested, StudyPerth will be unable to accept your entry (and StudyPerth will refuse or reject the Entry) and you will be unable to participate in the promotion. You can gain access to, update or correct your personal Information held by StudyPerth by contacting StudyPerth at marketing@studyperth.com.au. 
    2. All Personal Information will be stored electronically in systems utilised by StudyPerth. A copy of StudyPerth’s Privacy Policy may be obtained at: https://www.studyperth.com.au/privacy-policy/ or by contacting StudyPerth on marketing@studyperth.com.au. 
  9. Disqualification
    1. Entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions will be disqualified.  
    2. StudyPerth reserves the right, at any time, in its sole discretion, to verify the validity of Entries and your eligibility (including your identity, age, place of residence, student visa status, institution enrolment) and StudyPerth reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify you if StudyPerth has reason to believe you have breached any of these Terms, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. StudyPerth's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.  
  10. Liability
    1. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, StudyPerth and its related entities (including its respective directors, officers, employees and agents) are not responsible for and exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any Loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: 
      1. Any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged, or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by StudyPerth) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of StudyPerth; 
      2. any variation in Prize value to that stated in these Terms; 
      3. any tax liability incurred by a beneficiary of a Prize (including you and any other Prize Recipient); 
      4. use/taking of the Prize; or 
      5. the Promotion. 
  11. Changes and Termination
    1. StudyPerth reserves the right to amend or terminate the competition at any time. 
    2. Participants will be notified of any such changes. 
  12. Governing Law
    1. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Western Australia, and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Western Australia. 
    2. Nothing in these terms limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 (Cth) or similar consumer protection laws in the states and territories of Australia (collectively, the “Non-Excludable Guarantees”).  
    3. Failure by StudyPerth to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.  
    4. Condition 16 for trade promotion lotteries requires that: “If practicable, members of the public must be given the opportunity to witness the prize draw. If that is not practicable, audit records confirming the prize draw must be made available to an authorised officer or member of the Police Force on request.” 
    5. Accordingly, unless it is impracticable (such as due to COVID-19 restrictions etc.) to do so, the selection must be open to attendance by members of the general public.
  13. Definitions
    1. In these Terms:
      1. “Intellectual Property Rights” means all present and future rights of whatever nature anywhere in the world including, but not limited to, rights in respect of or in connection with copyright, inventions (including patents), trademarks, service marks, trade names, domain names, designs, confidential information, trade secrets and know-how and similar industrial, commercial and intellectual property rights, whether or not registered or registrable, and includes the right to apply for the registration of such rights, and whether existing in Australia or otherwise.  
      2. “Laws” means all laws including rules of common law, principles of equity, statutes, regulations, proclamations, ordinances, by-laws, rules, regulatory principles and requirements, statutory rules of an industry body, statutory mandatory codes of conduct, writs, orders, injunctions, judgments, and generally accepted accounting principles in Australia.  
      3. “Losses” means loss, damage, liability, charge, expense or cost (including all reasonable legal and other professional costs on a full indemnity basis) of any nature or kind.  
      4. “Personal Information” means, for the purpose of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is true or not and whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not.  
      5. “Winner” means, for a major Prize, you or the other individual whom you invite to join with you in enjoying the benefit of the major Prize.  

By participating in this Promotion, all participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
