About Me:
Hi there! My name is Aung Zin, but my friends call me Eddie. I am in my second year of my commerce degree majoring in Finance. I'm a bit of a chef and love cooking, finding joy in experimenting with new dishes and ingredients and sharing the delicious results with my friends. Back in Yangon, I was really into athletics and team sports like basketball and volleyball, but moving to Perth has pushed me to try new hobbies, and I'm loving activities like paintball and music production.
Why I Chose WA:
Initially, I chose Perth due to its proximity to my hometown. I believed it to be just like any other city with an ordinary University experience. Luckily, I couldn't have been more wrong. Since living here I've been in awe of the vibrant, multicultural community and beautiful nature.
In Perth, there is always something to do, whether that's heading down to the beach or taking the train and exploring the different suburbs around the city (trust me on this one!). And on the rare days I really have nothing to do, I like to head to one of the many cafes to read or listen to music and just enjoy the moment!
Top 3 Aspects I Love about WA:
- Driving around Perth and visiting natural attractions.
- Coffee shops; I've made a hobby out of trying new cafes and experiencing the vibrant coffee culture.
- Exploring hidden gems in Perth's food scene.
Career Aspirations:
I have always been interested in business decisions and how businesses differentiate a good investment from a bad one, so pursuing a degree in finance was a no-brainer for me.
Once I graduate, I'll use the knowledge and skills I've gained to launch my professional career within the corporate landscape.
