After a long but exciting flight to your new city, we’re here to make you feel welcome from the moment you step off the plane.

Giving you a warm welcome to WA

At StudyPerth, we understand the time and effort that goes into moving to a new city. That’s why our Airport Welcome Service is here to make you feel welcome, relaxed and ready to start experiencing everything Perth has to offer.

As the first point of contact for international students arriving in Western Australia, you’ll be greeted with a smile and given everything you need to smoothly settle into your new city.

These Greeters will offer resources to help you settle into your new home and connect you with support services. Our service is available before the start of each semester, with the next round starting on January 19 to March 4 2024, aligning with the start of Semester 1. We look forward to assisting you then!

Welcome pack registration

Please take note of the designated time slots below:

Monday to Friday

5:30 – 8:30 | 10:30 – 15:30 | 16:00 – 21:00 | 23:00 – 2:00

Saturday and Sunday

17:00 – 22:00 

If you arrive outside these designated times from 19 January to 4 March, you may return to Terminal 1 Perth Airport during operational hours to collect your welcome pack.

Terminal 1 – International Arrivals

Our Welcome Desk is located on the left-hand side as you walk out of the arrivals doors after passing customs. 

Just look out for our Airport Greeters in blue!

Airport transport

Getting to and from the airport has never been easier, thanks to Perth’s newest train line. Providing a fast connection from Perth Airport, you’ll be in the Perth CBD in only 18 minutes!

Unlike many other cities around the world, there is no airport surcharge for this service. Fares are capped at just $5. To use public transport in Perth, the easiest way is to simply purchase a Transperth SmartRider card that can be used for travel on all public transport types.

You can purchase a SmartRider card at Perth Airport, Transperth InfoCentres and SmartRider retail outlets. As an international student, you’re eligible for a Tertiary SmartRider, which offers student discounts on travel.

Trains operate every 12 minutes in peak time, every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes at night. Download a copy of the Airport Line Timetable.

Certain education providers also provide an airport pickup service. Be sure to check with your education provider ahead of time to see if they offer this service.

If you prefer to take a taxi or use a rideshare service, those are additional options available to you.
