Start by taking some time to research Perth universities, colleges and schools to ensure they offer the courses you’re interested in. You can find a list of Perth’s education providers here.
When deciding on the institution you want to study at, it’s also important to understand where it’s located and the environment and culture it offers.
Use our map to view the locations of Perth education providers and visit the website of your chosen institution to find out what activities they have for students. You can also start to consider accommodation options.

Use our free course finder to search for various courses across Perth universities, colleges and schools. You can narrow your search with the ability to filter by institution or scholarship.
To make your decision as easy as possible, view some of our student stories or visit the QILT website to compare student experiences over a range of courses at Perth universities.
Once you’ve made your decision, it’s time to confirm the course you want to study at your chosen education institution(s). You may be asked to nominate a second or third course preference on top of your preferred course.
At this point, it’s also important that you check if there are any school-specific requirements as part of your student visa requirements.
It’s time to apply!
Complete and submit your application to your chosen educational institution. You can do this either online or by mail.
As part of your application, you’ll also be required to submit your documentation which needs to be translated into English. Please refer to the requirements provided by each educational institution.
If you need any help, contact the institution you wish to study at and ask to speak to the International Office. Nearly all Perth universities, schools and colleges employ staff to assist and enrol international students.
If your chosen institution does not have an International Office, talk to the Student Administration staff.
If you have met all requirements of your chosen institution, you will receive a 'Letter of Offer' which means your application was successful. To accept the offer, simply sign it and return it either online or by mail.
At this point, you may be required to pay your full tuition fee or a deposit and provide proof of your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
Once your education institution receives your signed ‘Letter of Offer’, you will then be sent an 'Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment' (eCoE) via email.
Your eCoE will outline your course start date, course duration, course fees and other important information.
To apply for a visa to study in Australia, you must first be enrolled in a full-time course, so once you have received your Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE), you’re ready to go!
