Located a short 17km from Perth city centre, Perth Airport offers fast and affordable transport options to get you where you need to go. With its convenient, central location, you can be in Perth’s CBD within 15-20 minutes.

An airport centred around convenience

Relatively small in size compared to other major cities, Perth boasts a number of affordable and reliable transport options to make getting around easy.

For those arriving at Perth International Airport (PER), you’re just a 20-minute journey from Perth’s city centre by car or taxi. And your transport options don't stop there.

With Perth’s new airport train line, city shuttle bus and public buses also available, you’ll be off the plane and on your way in no time.

Certain education providers also provide an airport pickup service. Be sure to check with your education provider ahead of time to see if they offer this service.

Get to know your way around Perth’s International Airport and find all the convenient locations where you can access transport.

Airport train service

Providing a fast connection from Perth Airport, the new airport train line will get you to the Perth CBD in only 18 minutes!

Unlike many other cities around the world, there is no airport surcharge for this service. Fares are capped at just $5.

Trains operate every 12 minutes in peak time, every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes at night. Download a copy of the Airport Line Timetable.

Airport bus services

The City Shuttle bus offers a cheaper option for commuters and takes around 25 minutes to get to the city. 

You can find the City Shuttle bus stops outside each terminal at Perth International Airport (PER).

A one-way shuttle bus ticket from Perth Airport to Perth city centre costs AUD $15 for adults and AUD $8 for a child under the age of 15.

A number of public buses also operate between Perth Airport and the Perth city centre. 

Bus No. 380, No. 40, and bus No. 935 all operate the route to Elizabeth Quay bus station in Downtown Perth. 

Bus route 380 is available outside Terminals 1 and 2, whilst Bus routes 40 and 935 are available outside Terminals 3 and 4.

Taxi and rideshares

There are several major taxi companies that operate across Perth, including Swan Taxis, 13cabs and Black & White Cabs.

Taxi ranks are located at the front of all terminals – simply follow the signs to the nearest taxi ranks. A taxi rank can also be found on Valentine Road within the General Aviation area. You can also book one via phone or by using their app.

A $4 airport fee applies to all pick-ups at Perth Airport and you may be asked by your taxi driver to pay your fare in advance. 

Popular ridesharing platforms are also available in Perth, including Uber, Ola and DiDi. Perth Airport has dedicated rideshare pick-up areas to service all terminals.
