    Cluster Human Resources Manager

    Please provide us a brief description of your role, including duties and who you lead? 

    As a Cluster Human Resources Manage, I oversee the HR functions across multiple locations which are Aloft Perth, Courtyard Perth and Four Points Perth.

    My role is more strategic focusing on recruitment and staffing, employee relations, training and development, 
    performance management, compliance and collaborating with senior management to align HR strategies with business goals.

    The Cluster HR Manager typically leads a team of HR professionals, I work closely with department heads and managers to support the overall organizational strategy and ensure a cohesive approach to human resources across the cluster. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively manage the diverse needs of multiple locations.

    Why do you love working in hospitality?

    I love working with people hence I am in Human Resources. Hospitality takes it a notch further because it is a customer facing industry. I have worked in several different industries and I can say by far hospitality is the most thrilling one. I mean look at our beautiful hotels and restaurants. It's never a dull day for me

    What is your long-term goal within your career?

    I want to grow within HR in the field in hospitality. Hopefully I'll be leading a region at a point in my life. 

    Do you have any insight or motivational quotes you live by?

    I don't have a quote but one thing I always tell myself is never doubt yourself and know that you're enough to achieve what you want.

    Suitable for beginners, our one-day Barista Training workshops are designed to equip you with practical experience in professional coffee-making and the fundamental skills to prepare popular styles of coffee. You'll learn:

    Suitable for beginners, our one-day Bartending workshops are designed to equip you with foundational bartending skills, cocktail crafting, mixology comprehension, beer service, and customer service excellence. In this hands-on, interactive workshop you'll learn a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills:

    • Accredited RSA training (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
    • Shaking, stirring, muddling, and straining techniques
    • Cocktail mixology principles: grasp balance, flavour blending, and ingredient selection
    • Bar tools: understand equipment and glassware importance
    • Hands-on training on beer systems and service techniques
    • Safety and service: hygiene, responsible service, and customer service
    • Recipe crafting: experiment with making your own cocktails

    At the end of the training, you'll receive a certificate to use on your resume and an RSA certification, and a StudyPerth Ambassador will assist you with applying for jobs in the industry.

    • Food preparation techniques
    • Best practices in storing, receiving, and inspecting kitchen goods

    At the end of the training, you'll receive a certificate of completion to use in your resume. 

    This workshop is suitable if you're looking to work in the kitchen in:

    Suitable for beginners, our one-day Tour Guide Workshops are designed to equip you with essential tour guiding skills through engaging hands-on learning with interactive activities, role plays, and presentations. The workshop will cover:

    • Logistics of running a tour
    • Developing and delivering quality narrative
    • How to engage your audience
    • Duty of care
    • Risk management
    • Starting your own small touring business

    RSA stands for Responsible Service of Alcohol, and it is a nationally recognised certification that allows you to work in places that sell alcohol. In Australia, you must have an RSA in order to serve and sell alcohol. This could include jobs in:

    • Restaurants and cafes that serve alcoholic drinks
    • Hotels
    • Events and festivals 

    Some of our Job Connect workshops include an RSA, so you'll walk away equipped with the certification needed to start working in a place that sells alcohol. 

    Yes! You’ll have opportunities to meet tourism and hospitality employers during your participation. You’ll also meet with ambassadors who will help you navigate WesternAustralia.jobs to find suitable roles and support you throughout the process.
