Perth: Australia's best-kept secret... until now

Sun-drenched, laid-back and surrounded by nature, Perth gives international students a lifestyle few cities in the world can match. Over three unforgettable days, you'll experience the city, coast and culture your students will call home, and leave with the stories, photos and first-hand insight to sell Perth with confidence.

Famil Itinerary | Saturday 27th February to Tuesday 2nd March 2027

Saturday 27th February | Arrival and City Lights

  • Touch down in Perth and relax. Individual transfers will take you from Perth Airport to your CBD hotel.
  • Afternoon: Pedal Perth. Settle into the Perth pace on a guided rickshaw tour through the heart of the city. Laneways, landmarks, street art and the riverfront are all compact and easy to explore, just as your students will find it.
  • Evening: Welcome reception at Council House. Join the City of Perth for an official welcome to Boorloo, and meet the people and partners behind Perth's international student community.
  • Dinner in Northbridge: Perth's after-dark hub has buzzing bars, global flavours and the king of energy students love. Expect great food and even better company.

Saturday 28th February | Island Time

  • Swan River cruise to Rottnest Island. Cruise down the Swan River past riverside suburbs and the historic port of Fremantle, then out across the Indian Ocean to Rottnest Island: turquoise bays, white sand and not a car in sight. Pack your swimmers, sunscreen, flip-flops and sense of adventure, because this is where you’ll meet the world’s happiest animal, the quokka. Selfie strongly encouraged.
  • Late afternoon: Coastal drive. Back on the mainland, we’ll take the scenic route along the Indian Ocean, past some of Perth’s most beautiful beaches. It’s a reminder that for students here, the ocean is never more than a short trip away.
  • Sunset at Cottesloe Beach. Watch the sun sink into the Indian Ocean at Perth’s most iconic beach. It’s a near-daily ritual for West Australians and honestly one of the best things Perth has to offer. Have your camera ready.
  • Evening at leisure. After a big day in the sun, enjoy an early night or explore Perth on your own terms.

Monday 1st March | Culture and Country

  • Morning: Kings Park and Aboriginal cultural experience. Kings Park is over 400 hectares of bushland and botanic gardens, and is where locals come to run, picnic, and soak up sweeping views of the city skyline and Swan River. Your Noongar guides have deep family connections to this Country. You'll share stories, knowledge of the land and an authentic, personal insight into the world's oldest living culture. It's a powerful experience, and one your students can share too.
  • Lunch at Stories, Yagan Square. Enjoy a relaxed lunch in the city's vibrant meeting place, named in honour of Noongar warrior Yagan.
  • Afternoon: The Perth Mint Gold Tour. Step inside one of the world's great working mints. You'll watch molten gold poured live before your eyes, see the world's largest gold bullion coin and Australia's largest collection of natural nuggets, and discover how the gold rush shaped Western Australia.
  • Evening: Farewell dinner at Elizabeth Quay. Toast three remarkable days with waterfront dining as the city lights up across the Swan River.
