Established in 2012 by renowned translators and interpreters, Nicole Zhou and Thomas Ling, Babel International College (BIC) was founded on the recognition of a significant gap in the translator and interpreter market. As seasoned professionals, Zhou and Ling envisioned BIC as an institution dedicated to equipping the future generation of translators and interpreters with the necessary knowledge and skills.
In 2016, BIC attained its recognition as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 41560) and a CRICOS provider (Code: 03522E). This significant milestone enabled BIC to provide industry-recognized training courses in translation and interpreting.
Since its inception, BIC swiftly rose to the forefront of the industry in Western Australia, guiding hundreds of students towards success in their translator and interpreter qualification tests conducted by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI).
In 2018, NAATI endorsed BIC, a testament to the unwavering commitment of our diligent students and dedicated teaching staff, whose collective effort has resulted in remarkable pass rates.
Today, BIC's ambitions extend beyond maintaining its leading position in translation and interpreting training. With an expanded range of course offerings, we aspire to evolve into one of Western Australia's foremost private education providers. This vision is fuelled continuously by the unwavering passion of our founders, the dedication of our staff, and the relentless pursuit of excellence by our students.
