In 2017 Hasta Mahatara moved from Nepal to Perth. Hasta was drawn to Perth because of its infrastructure and size, describing Perth as being not so crowded that you get lost, but not so quiet that you lose the essence of being in a city.
Hasta currently studies a Diploma of Nursing at the Institute of Health and Nursing Australia and is planning on transitioning to a Bachelor of Nursing at Edith Cowan College next year.
Having seen people in his own country poorly effected as a result of common medical issues, like fever or childbirth, inspired Hasta to pursue a career in the health sector. One day, he wants to use his skills to help the community in Nepal.
