Explore the island, make some friends and then come and hang at the Hub!

Located at Thomson’s Bay, the Hub is your go to for all day entertainment and free activities, including a silent disco, roving photobooth and caricaturist.

Here's just some of the free activities at the entertainment hub.

    Put on some headphones and dance the day away.

  • Caricaturist

    Can't seem to get the perfect quokka selfie? Don't worry, our caricaturist can draw one for you!

  • Photo Booth

    Our roaming photo booth will be there to capture the day.

  • Entertainment

    Sit back, relax and listen to local artists. Program to be announced soon!

    Discover more about the island on a free walking tour led by the Rottnest Voluntary Guides Association volunteers.

Walking Tours

Be intrigued by stories of the past and discover more about our unique island on a free walking tour led by the Rottnest Voluntary Guides Association (RVGA) volunteers. 

Don't forget a water bottle, hat, sunglasses, protection from the elements and closed in shoes.

  • Meet the Quokkas

    Meet the iconic Rottnest Island Quokka and get your very own Quokka selfie.

    Departing at 1pm (45 minutes).

  • Pioneers & Prisoners

    A leisurely stroll through the historic settlement. Hear the stories of those who lived and worked in these historic buildings.

    Departing at 2pm (45 minutes).

  • Reefs, Wrecks & Daring Sailors

    Hear alluring tales of shipwrecks and sailors on this scenic walk to Bathurst Lighthouse. See the boathouse and replica pilot boat along the way. 

    Departing at 11am (60 minutes).

  • Whitecaps & Wilderness Tour

    See the beautiful coastline, discover the wonderful flora and fauna of the area and hear about the formation, geology and marine reserves of Rottnest Island.

    Departing between 9:45am and 12pm (30 to 45 minutes).

  • West End Wanderer

    Navigate and learn about the natural wonders you will encounter at Rottnest’s wild West End; the Seal Colony, Cathedral Rocks, the Shearwater rookery, Fishhook Bay and more. 

    A roving guide is available onsite daily from 10:30am to 1:30pm. Arrive by bus or bike and allow 30 – 45 minutes to explore this area.
