International Student Visas

International students require a Subclass 500 Student Visa to live, study and work in Western Australia. This Visa enables international students to stay in WA for up to five years, bring family members to stay with them, participate in an eligible course of study, and work unlimited hours in any sector.

The Visa cost is from $630 (unless exempt). More information and applications can be made by visiting the Department of Home Affairs website

When choosing a course of study, prospective international students should also be aware that there are 331 eligible occupations on the Government’s Graduate Occupations List, which means there are more opportunities for graduates to pursue a skilled migration pathway into Western Australia than ever before.

International student graduates who choose to stay and work in Western Australia can choose from a range of visas available from the Australian Government.

If you need help with your visa, make sure you read information on Who can help with your visa application.
