Grant Funding

The Innovation Fund Program provides an opportunity to secure financial support for projects that advance the international education sector in Western Australia. As we begin to recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, we invite applications for projects that promote Western Australia.

This phase of the Innovation Fund Program supports the following core objective:

  • Initiatives that support members in building/rebuilding relationships with key distribution partners, potential students, and their parents.
  • Initiatives that promote and support the awareness of Western Australia as the first-choice destination for international education for StudyPerth’s tier 1 and tier 2 markets.

To be eligible for the Innovation Fund Program, project proposals will need to meet one of the objectives. Projects that meet one or all priority objectives will have favourable consideration.

Applicants must complete the revised Innovation Fund Program Application Form and meet the Program objectives to be eligible for the Innovation Fund Program Program.

The Innovation Fund Program funding amounts are:

  • Category 1 - Collaborative Projects up to $50,000 (+gst)
  • Category 2 - Individual Projects up to $5,000 (+gst)

Lesser funding amounts can be requested.

There is no requirement for applicants to match financial contributions to the project; the funding grant can cover the full cost of the project. However, a budget is required as part of the application process that indicates any in-kind and financial contribution. This provides the total project value.

Any unspent Program grant funds must be declared as part of the reporting and acquittal process within 21 days of project completion. All unspent funds must be returned to StudyPerth unless otherwise agreed to prior to the project completion date with StudyPerth. An invoice will be issued to return the unspent funds.

A summary of why the project does not meet the criteria will be provided to unsuccessful applicants. Unsuccessful applicants can re-apply within the Application Open period. The final application date to be submitted is 11.59 PM AWST on Sunday, 30 June 2024.

Organisations can submit multiple applications for separate projects and/or projects represented by different departments within one organisation.
