All campuses are located within 30 kilometres of Perth’s city centre and are easily accessible by train or bus.

Academic Year

The Western Australian university year starts in late February and ends in mid-November. The academic year is divided into two semesters, although some institutions use a trimester system or offer summer school courses from December to February.

Undergraduate Qualifications

A Bachelor Degree prepares you for a professional career and postgraduate study.

Duration: Minimum three years full-time study

Requirements: Australian secondary school certificate (Year 12) or its overseas equivalent; or a 

Vocational Education and Training Diploma or Advanced Diploma.

 A Bachelor Degree (Honours) is an optional, additional qualification offered to students who excel over the course of their Bachelor Degree.

Duration: Either one additional year after a three-year degree, or awarded for achievement across a degree of four or more years.

Requirements: High academic achievement over the course of a Bachelor Degrees

Post-graduate Qualifications

A Graduate Certificate or Diploma is designed for specific career purposes. You can take a Graduate course to expand the skills you gained in an undergraduate programme, or to develop your skills and knowledge in a new professional area. 

Duration: Six months full-time study (Certificate) or twelve months full-time study (Diploma)

Requirements: A completed undergraduate qualification.

A Masters Degree is undertaken after completing an undergraduate degree. You can enrol in a Masters Degree in a specific study area or professional field. You can choose between a coursework Masters, a research Masters or a professional Masters.

Duration: Two years full-time study, or one year if you’ve completed an Honours qualification.

Requirements: A completed undergraduate qualification.

A Doctoral Degree often also referred to as a PhD, is the highest university qualification you can receive. PhD candidates are recognised for their significant contributions in a chosen field. You can choose between a Research Doctorate, which involves supervised research, or a Professional Doctorate, which combines coursework with research.

Duration: Varies according to course, study load and subject.

Requirements: Completed undergraduate and lesser postgraduate qualifications.

A Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a highly-prestigious, internationally recognised qualification with a strong focus on practical and theoretical business knowledge. It covers accounting, economics, finance, human resources management, marketing, operations, organisational behaviour, data analysis/statistics and business policy/strategy.

Duration: One to two years.

Requirements: A completed undergraduate qualification.
